Although you may be nervous presenting to a number of people whether large or small you need to remain calm and confident. This will emphasise your knowledge in the subject and help you gain the audience’s attention.
To assert you to the audience always face them and make eye contact with individuals - but don’t stare.
Although it may feel more comfortable to present from behind a desk or lectern, try to move away from it on occasions or not stand behind it at all.
Observe the audience to see their reaction to your presentation; are they frantically writing things down, if so, slow down. If they appear bored try to inject some interest into the presentation or move on from the current point.
